About the estate

The C. S. Birgi Soc. Coop. Agr. estate was founded in 1960 by ten passionate vine growers in the heart of western Sicily. Across an extensive vineyard area of 2800 hectares, the cooperative cultivates indigenous grape varieties such as Grillo, Catarratto, and Nero d’Avola alongside international varieties including Chardonnay, Syrah, and Merlot. The sustainable production process follows strict traceability protocols, featuring soil care, responsible water resource management, and manual harvesting into small crates. Combining traditional methods with cutting-edge techniques, expert winemakers oversee the vinification and aging process to craft wines that reflect the authentic character of the Sicilian terroir.
