About the estate
The Bordon estate in Dekani looks back on a family tradition that began in 1985, when Ivan Bordon became the first private winemaker in Slovenian Istria to introduce his own wine brand. The vineyards thrive in the mild coastal microclimate on Istrian hills with diverse soil compositions, with the vines planted at low densities. The family operation continues across generations, with knowledge and the estate being passed down to son Boris and further to his son Jan. In the archive cellar, wines are stored under special conditions, aging for at least five years up to the founding year. The portfolio under the Slovenska Istra denomination includes award-winning wines.
