About the estate
Founded in 1781, the Bodegas Romate estate is located in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia and remains one of the independent traditional wineries of the region. The vineyards are situated in the Pago Añina and Pago Cuartillo areas, which are characterized by the typical chalky albariza soils. The grape varieties Palomino, Moscatel, and Pedro Ximénez are cultivated for the production of wines and brandies. Ageing takes place traditionally in oak barrels and through the classic criaderas and soleras system. The products hold designations of origin such as Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda and are distributed internationally.
