The Bodegas Álvaro Domecq estate was taken over in 1998 by Álvaro Domecq Romero and is located in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia. The production includes brandies, vinegars, and wines under the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry DO and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO denominations, such as Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado, Palo Cortado, Cream, and Pedro Ximénez. The wines are aged using a traditional dynamic system of stacked oak barrels known as botas. Wines undergoing biological ageing are racked several times a year, whereas oxidative styles undergo a single annual extraction. The property also offers tastings and event facilities for visitors.
