About the estate
The Bel Sit estate in Castagnole delle Lanze, Piedmont, looks back on a history originating in 1870 and has been managed by Andrea and Gianpiero Scavino since 2019. The vineyards are situated in a natural amphitheater on a southwest-facing mid-slope hill between the Langhe and Monferrato regions. On soils composed of sand and clay, the winery cultivates Barbera alongside Moscato and Cortese. The portfolio includes Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Moscato d'Asti DOCG, and Piemonte Grignolino DOC, among other wines. The production relies heavily on manual labor in the vineyards combined with a minimal, temperature-controlled approach in the cellar.
