Basilisco Vini

About the estate

The Basilisco winery was founded at the beginning of the nineteen-nineties and manages twenty-five hectares of vineyards entirely under organic farming on the slopes of the Vulture. Vinification and wine aging take place in historic tuff caves within the Parco delle Cantine di Barile, which form part of a project acquired by Feudi di San Gregorio. Viviana Malafarina manages the estate and oversees cellar operations, while Pierpaolo Sirch is responsible for vineyard management. The production focuses on the Aglianico del Vulture grape variety, whose character is shaped by the region's volcanic soils.
