Founded in 2008, the Azienda agricola Maria Ernesta Berucci estate is located in Piglio in the Lazio region. The winery manages two hectares of vineyards and produces wines under the Cesanese del Piglio DOCG, Passerina del Frusinate IGT, and Rosato del Frusinate IGT denominations. Viticulture goes beyond organic farming, relying on homeopathic remedies and manual labour in the vineyards from pruning to harvest. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous without the addition of selected yeasts or sulfites. Vinification takes place in various vessels including raw concrete, amphorae, and large wooden barrels.
