About the estate

Founded in 1987, the Ambros Thüring GmbH, Weinbau Brennerei estate is located in the Leimental region and cultivates 3.3 hectares of vineyards in Ettingen, Witterswil, Biel-Benken, Hofstetten, and on the Landskron. Over 50 percent of the vineyards are planted with fungus-resistant Piwi grape varieties, and plant protection is carried out using natural agents where possible. The grape variety portfolio includes Riesling-Silvaner, Chardonnay, Johanniter, Gewürztraminer, Kerner, Pinot Noir, Regent, Cabernet-Cortis, Maréchal-Foch, Prior, and Gamaret. The grapes are pressed in the estate's own cellar or distilled into spirits in the internal distillery.
