About the estate
The Alessandro Motta estate is a family-run winery located in Castel Rocchero in Piedmont, taken over by Alessandro Motta in 1996 and self-vinified since 2014 as the first generation of his family. Across four and a half hectares of south-facing vineyards, the winemaker cultivates the core regional varieties of Barbera, Moscato Bianco, and Brachetto. The sandstone and clay soils, together with a microclimate influenced by sea breezes, support optimal ripening. Vineyard management relies on strict yield reduction and manual harvesting. The portfolio includes the protected designations of Barbera d'Asti, Barbera d'Asti Superiore, Nizza, Moscato d'Asti, and Brachetto d'Acqui.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Barbera and Muscat. The estate sells to retail.
