About the estate
The Philipp Rieger estate in Buggingen-Betberg was restructured as a dedicated winery in 1984 by Josepha and Bernhard Rieger. Following Philipp Rieger's viticultural training at an organic winery, the family business transitioned to organic and biodynamic farming according to Ecovin and Demeter guidelines. Today, the family estate cultivates over 25 hectares of vineyards in the Baden region. In the cellar, the team relies on spontaneous fermentation, extended lees aging, and reductive maturation to craft origin-driven wines. Distribution includes fine dining establishments, specialized wine trade, and organic retail stores.
The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
