About the estate

The Weingut Niedrist Ignaz estate is a family business rooted in Girlan on the South Tyrolean Wine Road, where life has always revolved around wine. The winery's vineyards are located in various historically recognized sites such as Girlan and Eppan Berg in the Überetsch region, Gries near Bolzano, and at Lake Kaltern. The terroir benefits from the meeting of Mediterranean and alpine influences, featuring southern winds in the Girlan sites and cool descending winds at the foot of the Mendola Ridge. When working in the vineyard, the estate places great emphasis on environmental protection, the preservation of biodiversity, and healthy, living soils.
