About the estate

The Ebner estate is managed in the third generation by the Florian and Brigitte Unterthiner family and is located on the sunny Ritten plateau above Waidbruck in the southernmost part of the Isarco Valley. On sunny, terraced slopes of volcanic origin, red grape varieties thrive on south-facing sites, whereas white varieties prefer the more ventilated south-east-facing slopes. Many of the vines grow on a roughly forty-year-old pergola system whose root structure ensures an ideal nutrient supply even during dry periods. The sandy-clay, limestone, and porphyry soils as well as careful manual labor in the vineyard and cellar shape the character of the wines.
