About the estate
The Burkhart winery is located in Jechtingen am Kaiserstuhl near Freiburg and has been practicing organic viticulture since 1978, operating today as a Demeter winegrower. The estate focuses on optimal conditions for vines and beneficial organisms in order to produce wines organically and sustainably. Situated right in the vineyards on the parental estate, Marco Burkhart also founded a private coffee roastery. Numerous parallels exist between viticulture and coffee roasting, ranging from plant cultivation to sensory evaluation.
