The grapes are sourced from own-rooted, mass selection vines that average over 70 years of age, resulting in exceptionally low yields. The soil consists of red slate as bedrock and volcanic ryolithe as cover soil. Production focuses on Riesling, which is known for its remarkable longevity and complex aromatic profile. These wines develop significant bottle age complexity over time and feature a distinct mineral character paired with fine spice.
