About the estate

The Wassererhof winery in Barbian has been run as a family business by the four Mock brothers since its foundation in 2004. The family also cultivates the Mumelterhof in Leitach, which is one of South Tyrol's oldest wine-growing areas and is located in the classic St. Magdalener cultivation zone. In the cellar, winemaker Christoph Mock focuses on a natural production process with minimal aids, indigenous yeasts and prolonged contact with natural components. The wines remain on the yeast for a relatively long time to mature and also require time in the bottle to develop their strengths. The estate's concept is complemented by a Buschenschank serving traditional cuisine.
