About the estate

The Wallner estate in the Weinviertel has been family-owned since 1833 and cultivates around eight hectares of vineyards around Obersdorf, Wolkersdorf, Pillichsdorf and Eibesbrunn. Soils consisting of sand, loess and clay, combined with sustainable management without herbicides and insecticides, shape the character of the wines. The portfolio is led by Grüner Veltliner as well as various other white and red grape varieties such as Zweigelt, Merlot and Syrah. In the cellar, the winery combines traditional knowledge with modern technology to process the hand-harvested grapes gently. Alongside conventional stainless steel ageing, selected red wines mature for up to 24 months in small oak barrels.
