About the estate

The Taubenschuss winery in Poysdorf looks back on a long history that began in 1941 with the estate's own bottle filling. Today, the estate is managed in the fifth generation by the brothers Markus and Thomas Taubenschuss, supported by their parents Monika and Helmut. The vineyards are located in the Weinviertel region, where Grüner Veltliner and Burgundy varieties thrive on loess soils. From the 2023 vintage onwards, the entire winery is organically certified and works in harmony with nature through its own compost management and mobile sheep grazing. The portfolio includes region-typical wines and sparkling wines produced under the Weinviertel DAC appellation, which are also exported internationally.

The eno directory lists 21 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling. The estate sells to horeca, retail and importers. Export markets include Germany, Italy, Czechia and Netherlands.
