About the estate

The Norbert Bauer estate is situated in the picturesque Pulkautal valley in the Weinviertel region and looks back on a three-hundred-year family history dating back to 1721. The family and their team cultivate ninety hectares of vineyards comprising 380,000 vines spread across more than one hundred single sites in basin or steep locations. Soils consisting of loess, primary rock, sand, and clay provide ideal growing conditions for white grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Chardonnay as well as red varieties like Zweigelt, Sankt Laurent, and Blaufränkisch. The grapes are processed in the historic wine cellar in the Trift using modern technical know-how combined with traditional craftsmanship. The portfolio includes wines with the Weinviertel DAC protected designation of origin.
