The Viñedos y Bodegas Dominio de Tares, S.A. estate was founded in the year 2000 in the El Bierzo region with a focus on the revival of native grape varieties. The winery manages twelve hectares of valuable old vineyards and relies on traditional methods such as manual harvesting and plot-by-plot vinification. Cultivation centers on the classic varieties Mencía and Godello, alongside work with the rare Prieto Picudo grape in the Los Oteros area.
