About the estate
The Vieux Pressoir Rivaz estate in Rivaz in the Vaud region is a historic wine farm that has been operated by the Ruchonnet family since around 1414. Today, the winery is managed across generations by Anne-Catherine and Sébastien Ruchonnet, with their parents remaining active in both the vineyards and the cellar. The vineyards are situated in the heart of the Lavaux region, planted on the steep terraces of the St-Saphorin and Dézaley Grand Cru appellations. The vines are tended by hand according to integrated production standards with respect for nature. In the cellar, the estate combines traditional aging methods with modern oenological techniques to produce wines that reflect their specific terroir.
