About the estate
The Tschäpperliweine GmbH estate based in Aesch in German-speaking Switzerland looks back on centuries of viticultural tradition closely linked to the Blarer von Wartensee family. In 2013, the company was founded together by the estate manager couple Ulrich and Barbara Bänninger-Zurflüh and the owners. Today, the estate cultivates a vineyard area of 5.5 hectares within the AOC Basel denomination. The vineyards are farmed with a focus on near-natural production, with management having been in the hands of the Bänninger-Zurflüh family for over 30 years. Legally, the land belongs to the non-profit foundation Burg Tschäpperli, which promotes viticulture and biodiversity.
