About the estate

The Tenuta Santa Croce di Baur Hermann Anton estate is located in the center of the Orvieto wine region in Sugano, Umbria. Organic red wines such as Rosso Orvietano DOC and organic rosé wines are produced on four hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are cultivated according to purely organic guidelines without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, with yields reduced to one and a half kilograms per vine. In the cellar, emphasis is placed on the natural character of the wines, which mature in stainless steel tanks for maceration and then in French oak barrels following malolactic fermentation. The wines are bottled without filtration and utilize sustainable Select Green closures made from renewable biopolymers.
