About the estate
The San Donatino estate was founded in 1971 as a family business in Tuscany by the singer Léo Ferré and his wife Maria Cristina Diaz. Located in the heart of Chianti Classico at an altitude of 420 meters, the property includes vineyards facing southwest alongside olive groves. Winemaking follows traditional methods featuring spontaneous fermentations, extended macerations, and aging in either stainless steel tanks or wood. Since 2012, the winery has been transitioning to certified organic farming. The estate bottles and markets its own wines independently.
The eno directory lists 13 wines.
