About the estate

The Sailnberger estate manages 2.5 hectares of vineyards in the northwestern Weinviertel region between Nappersdorf and Mailberg. The soils, characterized by a high lime content covered with loamy sands and loess, offer ideal conditions for grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Yellow Muskateller, Müller-Thurgau, and Blaufränkisch or rather Blauer Zweigelt. The winery operates sustainably without herbicides and insecticides, relies on yield reduction and cover crops, and processes the grapes in the cellar with minimal mechanical stress. The wines mature primarily in stainless steel tanks, while the Blauer Zweigelt is partially aged in small oak barrels. Distribution takes place through on-site sales by prior appointment and via the online shop.
