About the estate

The Revaz Petriashvili-Petriaant Marani winery in Akhmeta in the Kakheti region traces its history back to 1770 and is managed today in the sixth generation by Zurab and Irakli Rostomashvili. Production follows ancient traditions using traditional qvevri, with grapes fermented and aged together with stems and skins in 200-year-old clay vessels. To preserve terroir identity, grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately, while stainless steel tanks are also utilized during the process. Following a months-long maturation period in sealed vessels, the qvevri are opened in spring for wine bottling.
