About the estate
The Quercecchio estate is located in Montalcino, Tuscany, with historical roots tracing back to the late fourteenth century as a monastic grange belonging to the Monte Oliveto Maggiore monastery. Encompassing a total area of 150 hectares, the property features a diverse landscape of forests, pastures, olive groves, and vineyards dedicated to the Sangiovese grape variety. Managed by the Salvioni family through five generations, the winery focuses on producing classic regional appellation wines including Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. Situated on the southern hillsides with clay and sandy soils, the vineyards benefit from a favorable microclimate that fosters optimal grape maturation.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
