The PORTINALE AZ.AGR. di MUSSO PIERGIORGIO estate is located in Monteu Roero in Piedmont, where vineyards are cultivated on sandy marine soils rich in fossils. The hillside plots feature primarily south, southeast, and southwest exposures, benefiting from breezy conditions that help protect the vines from fungal diseases. Passed down through generations, the family operation also dedicates its land to hazelnuts, fruit, and beekeeping alongside viticulture. In the cellar, operations and the use of sulfites are kept to a strict minimum to preserve the unique characteristics of each vintage. Harvesting is performed exclusively by hand to ensure the grapes arrive in pristine condition for vinification in stainless steel tanks and maturation in underground cellars.
