About the estate
The Podere Acquaccina estate was founded in January 2016 by Luigi Celentano in Sugano, a hamlet of Orvieto in Umbria. Following a career change, the founder took over land and a historic vineyard belonging to his wife's family to establish an agricultural activity based on the respect for nature. The estate currently covers one and a half hectares of vineyards, cultivating varieties such as Sangiovese for red wine alongside traditional grapes for Orvieto Classico Superiore. Winemaking utilizes modern technologies, followed by aging in a cellar carved into tuff stone. In addition to wine, the business also produces olive oil and hazelnuts.

Vino intenso dal colore paglierino carico ma brillante. Il profumo è caratterizzato da un effluvio di frutta esotica (in particolare Ananas e Pompelmo) miscelati con Albicocca reale. Poi arrivano le erbe: Melis-sa, Cedrina, Aneto…

Vino intenso dal colore rubino con riflessi purpurei. Al naso si avvertono aromi fruttati di mora, visciola e frutta secca. In bocca risulta intenso, caldo e secco con tannini marcati tipici del Sangiovese. Acidità moderata e retrogusto persistente.
