About the estate

The Pfannenstielhof estate in Bolzano looks back on centuries of history and was first mentioned in a document in 1561. Since 1816, the traditional property has been owned by the Pfeifer family, who now run the winery in the eighth generation. The focus lies on the production of red wine from the indigenous grape varieties Schiava and Lagrein, which thrive exceptionally well in the region. The vineyards extend over varying soil types, including morainic soils in the north and alluvial soils in the south. For cultivation, the estate relies on integrated viticulture featuring traditional pergola training and careful management in both the vineyard and the cellar.

The estate sells to retail and horeca. Export markets include Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.
