About the estate

The Patrick Niggas winery is located in Sankt Stefan ob Stainz in the Weststeiermark region and was founded in 2008 by Patrick Niggas. The family-run estate cultivates around 2.5 hectares of vineyards on the well-known Hochgrail vineyard site on the foothills of the Reinischkogel. The focus lies on steep southern slopes with soils consisting of gneiss, crystalline schist, and rocky brown earth, alongside a strong emphasis on the Blauer Wildbacher grape variety. The climate is heavily influenced by the Koralpe, which significantly shapes the character of the wines. Farming is carried out with craftsmanship aiming to preserve the natural core and aroma of the grape varieties.
