About the estate

The Haring vulgo Pichlippi estate is located in Eibiswald in Western Styria and looks back on a long agricultural tradition. In 1991, the Rettenberg was recultivated and replanted with vines, with the first Schilcher bottled in 1995. Subsequent plantings expanded both the vineyard area and the variety of grapes, meaning that varieties such as Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Yellow Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, and Blauer Wildbacher are now cultivated on the southern slopes. The wines are shaped by the fertile soils and the special climate at Rettenberg. The estate is complemented by an in-house tavern serving estate-grown wine and homemade food.
