About the estate

The Polz estate at Grassnitzberg in the South Styria region looks back on a history dating back to 1912, when great-grandfather Johann Polz laid the foundation stone. Taken over after the Second World War by grandfather Reinhold Polz and consistently expanded over the following decades, the family-run business is now managed by the fourth generation. Spread across approximately 100 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces wines where origin takes center stage. Among the most valuable sites are Hochgrassnitzberg, Obegg, and Witscheiner Herrenberg. Shaped by the region, the portfolio includes classic wines of the South Styria DAC denomination.

The eno directory lists 21 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The estate sells to retail.
