About the estate

The Cave Maurice Zufferey SA estate cultivates 8.5 hectares of vineyards within the AOC Valais denomination. The steep vineyards are situated on the slopes of Sierre, Venthône, Veyras, and Muraz. Due to the topography, most vineyard tasks are performed by hand, characterizing the operations as steep-slope viticulture. The soils in the region are primarily clay-limestone, stony, and well-drained. The grape variety portfolio includes Fendant, Petite Arvine, Heida, Pinot Noir, Cornalin, and Humagne Rouge, among others. The winery applies integrated production methods with spontaneous cover crop management and is currently transitioning toward organic farming.
