About the estate
The Swiss winery Cave Papillon located in Salgesch in Valais looks back on a family history that began in 1940 with the acquisition of the first vineyards. Today, the third generation of the family manages a vineyard area of four hectares situated in partly steep slopes terraced with dry stone walls. The cultivation is carried out entirely by the family with a high proportion of manual labor, allowing each vine to be tended individually. Both white and red wines thrive on the limestone soils, with the production focus lying on red wines. The portfolio includes rare specialties as well as cuvées such as the profound red wine X-Plosion.
