The Monaci delle Terre Nere di Coffa Guido Alessandro estate is situated on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily and encompasses twenty-five hectares of vineyards. The origins of the historic agricultural landscape, featuring traditional lava stone terraces, date back to the seventeenth century. In 2007, the founder acquired the property and began the careful restoration of the historic buildings and farmland. Today, the estate farms its vineyards according to organic principles, harvesting exclusively estate-grown grapes by hand with minimal intervention in the cellar. The wines are produced under the Sicilia DOC denomination and reflect the distinctive character of the volcanic terroir.
