About the estate

The Milana Azienda Agricola estate was founded in 1962 by Gioacchino Milana on the southern hillside of Rome in Olevano Romano and initially focused on producing bulk wine for the capital. In 2009, Giancarlo Milana initiated the conversion to organic agriculture and began focusing on the valorization of individual parcels across the 1.92 hectares of vineyards. The viticultural practices rely solely on copper and sulfites, while the cellar work follows a non-invasive approach featuring spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, stainless steel vessels, and no filtration or clarification. The portfolio consists of five labels with fantasy names related to important family events, reflecting a natural and terroir-driven philosophy.
