About the estate
The Margaval Vinhos estate in Tomar within the Tejo region continues the legacy of grandfather José Margarido, whose name inspired the Adega da Gaveta brand. In 2019, grandson Francisco created his first label, leading to the establishment of Margaval Vinhos and the acquisition of new vineyard areas. Organic production and operational philosophy focus on minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar. Fermentation and ageing are carried out exclusively in stainless steel tanks to genuinely express the character of the Tomar subregion.
