About the estate
The family winery Le Grain was founded in 2012 by Claudio Berthod in Saint Pierre in the Aosta Valley. Driven by a passion for viticulture, the owner revived old family vineyards that were previously used for private consumption. Today, the estate cultivates approximately 1.5 hectares of its own vineyards located in the area between Aymavilles and Saint Pierre. The focus is on indigenous grape varieties such as Petit Rouge, Fumin, Cornalin, and Petite Arvine, producing around 10,000 bottles annually. The wines are mostly aged in steel vats, with a small portion refined in light-toasted French tonneaux.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Petit Rouge and Petite Arvine.
