Kuenhof

About the estate

Located in the Eisacktal in South Tyrol, the Kuenhof estate looks back on a history first mentioned in the 12th century and has been independently marketed by the Pliger family since 1990. Across 6.5 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates steep, terraced sites such as Lahner, Gasteiger, and Nafen at altitudes between 550 and 890 meters. The portfolio focuses on Riesling, Sylvaner, Veltliner, and Gewürztraminer, yielding four single-varietal white wines. Farming is carried out using biological and biodynamic approaches with extensive manual labor and the avoidance of synthetic agents. In the historic cellars, the grapes ferment with natural yeasts and mature in large acacia barrels and stainless steel tanks.
