About the estate

The Kittenberger estate is a traditional family winery in Langenlois in the Kamptal region, which has been passed down from generation to generation for over 150 years. Today, the winery is managed by Christian Kittenberger, who took over the operation following practical experience and specialized training. Under his leadership, the working methods were converted to careful soil cultivation, self-mixed cover crops from own agriculture, and gentle crop protection. In the cellar, the winemaker relies on traditional methods such as pressing with an old wooden tree press and aging in old wooden barrels. In addition to his work at his own estate, Christian Kittenberger is active as the deputy cellar master at the Krems viticultural school.
