About the estate

Founded in 1907, the Kellerei St. Michael-Eppan winery in Eppan an der Weinstraße in South Tyrol manages 390 hectares of vineyards with the support of 320 member families. The vineyards extend from 400 to 900 meters above sea level on sunny slopes at the foot of the Mendola massif and along the South Tyrol Wine Road. The Alpine-Mediterranean climate shapes the character of the wines, of which 80 percent are white and 20 percent are red. The diverse soils range from calcareous gravel and morainic soils to porphyry and alluvial deposits. The cultivation of the vineyards relies on the manual labor of the winegrower families.
