About the estate
The Kellerei Kloster Einsiedeln estate looks back on a winemaking tradition dating back to the twelfth century within the Benedictine community founded in 934. The current cellar was built in 1704 as part of the monastery's reconstruction. Across a vineyard area of 13 hectares, the winery cultivates sites within the AOC Zürich and AOC Zürichsee denominations. The grapes are centrally pressed, fermented, and aged in Einsiedeln. Manual labor in the vineyards and craftsmanship in the cellar characterize the work of the team under the direction of manager and oenologist Dominic Mathies.
