About the estate
The Weingut der Familie Zahner estate in Truttikon was founded in 1963 by Waldemar and Suzanne Zahner and is now managed in the second generation by Niklaus Zahner and his family. Over the years, the vineyard area expanded to eight hectares, cultivated with grape varieties such as Riesling-Sylvaner, Blauburgunder, and Gewürztraminer. The portfolio includes wines such as Pinot noir Barrique and the sparkling Pinot blanc. For red wine production, the winery has utilized the traditional manual pigeage method in open vats since 2003 to achieve gentle extraction.
