About the estate

The Jürgen Horvath winery is located in Rechnitz on the southern slope of the Geschriebenstein and is run in the third generation as a quality-oriented wine estate. On primary rock and slate soils, grape varieties such as Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Yellow Muskateller thrive particularly well. For red wines, the estate cultivates Blaufränkisch DAC Eisenberg and Zweigelt. Through careful work in the vineyard and targeted cellar technology, the highest possible quality is extracted from every vintage. The winemaker gave up his previous main profession in 2016 to dedicate himself entirely to winemaking.
