About the estate

The Bioweingut Jakob estate cultivates eight hectares of vineyards in Mautern an der Donau in the Wachau. The winery is managed by Jakob and Petra, who preserve the heritage of their family that has been based there for centuries. The vineyards feature soils composed of gravel, conglomerate, loess, and primary rock, which provide ideal conditions for a broad spectrum of grape varieties. Operating according to the strict guidelines of organic viticulture, the estate produces distinctive wines, including representatives of the Federspiel and Wachau DAC denominations. In addition to winemaking, the estate offers guest apartments.
