About the estate
The Swiss winery Inner Hag Weinbau located in Trimmis in German-speaking Switzerland cultivates a vineyard area of 0.26 hectares. Founded by Dr. Mark Däppen, who runs the estate as a sideline, production focuses on Pinot Noir. The old vines, aged 40 to 60 years, yield low quantities that serve as the basis for concentrated wines. Vinification is carried out via open-top mash fermentation in 300-litre vats and predominantly in stainless steel tanks with sparing use of barriques. The wines receive an extended maturation period in tanks and in the bottle before being released for sale.
