Hüls Markus

About the estate

The Hüls winery on the Moselle is led by young winemaker Markus Hüls, originating in part from his parents' estate. The historic steep slate vineyards are cultivated according to ecological and controlled environmentally friendly guidelines. For new plantings, the estate consistently relies on mass selection from old, ungrafted vineyards combined with a high planting density. This system results in extremely low yields per vine and maximum aromatic diversity. In the cellar, the winemaker combines modern vineyard management techniques with traditional vinification styles to produce fine, fruity, and mineral wines.

The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc.
