Hochmeister

About the estate

The Hochmeister estate located in Kollnbrunn in the Weinviertel region was originally formed by the parents and has been managed by Ing. Johannes Hochmeister since 2015. The vineyards are situated in the immediate vicinity of the winery on typical loess and loam soils, cultivating grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Zweigelt, and Blauburger. A specialty of the portfolio is the Brünnerstrassler cuvée made from Welschriesling and Grüner Veltliner. The winery focuses on sustainable, environmentally friendly farming practices and consistent yield reduction in the vineyards. Harvesting is carried out using a mechanical grape harvester, followed by gentle processing of the grapes in the modernized cellar.
