About the estate
Located in Weiningen in German-speaking Switzerland, the Haug Weine estate is run as a multi-generational family agricultural business. Great-grandfather Hans Haug already tended vines, and Hans Haug junior laid the foundation for the current variety of wines by starting to press them himself. The winery farms fifty hectares of land in a sustainable and close-to-nature manner alongside a mixed farm with animals. In the 1960s, only Riesling and Klevner were cultivated, while new grape varieties were gradually added from the 1990s onwards. The estate produces regional red, rosé, and white wines originating from the Zurich region.
