Gallo - Montabone

About the estate

The Gallo - Montabone estate has been cultivating around 20 hectares of vineyards in Montabone in Piedmont since 1900, with the Gallo family running the business across generations. The vineyards are located on the hills of Monferrato on soils composed mainly of marl and sandstone, and are planted with grape varieties such as Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato, Brachetto, Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Cortese. Farming follows integrated pest management principles along with environmental measures such as photovoltaic systems and a dedicated wastewater purification plant. Harvesting is done manually to transport the grapes gently to the nearby cellar, where traditional and innovative methods yield fresh and aromatic wines.
